What's next?


As of now there are a few things missing for me to consider the demo done:

  • Guard animation when detects a player. ✅
  • Camera movement to guard when player is detected.
  • Disable movement for player when detected
  • Pause menu
  • Look farther mechanic: Make the player be able to see farther so it is not so unfair when seen by a sneaky guard (1)
  • Main Menu music
  • Performance improvement
  • Jank removal
  • Guard animation when waking up and goin back to sleep
  • Improvements on level design with more fair guard placement
  • Player animation when level completed
  • Level start cutscene like original game with tip ✅
  • Fix some guards not doing the aiming animation when detecting a player

(1) Decided on trying to improve level design to remove guards with path that feel unfair, from now on, the philosophy will be that you have to see the guard before it has a chance to see you.

I'll keep adding to this list if I feel like I missed something and strike the features as they are implemented.
